Pulse Points for August 15

Welcome to Cross Point

Cross Point exists solely for the purpose of building disciples who passionately pursue worship, community, and ministry. It’s really a simple process. All we ask of our church members is three crucial things. Love God in worship, love others in small groups, and serve the world in a ministry! If we all do this, by the grace of God, what radical disciples we will be! Nothing in our lives should be off limits as God seeks to work through us!

Prayers Appreciated

If the Lord brings me to your mind, please pray for me as I travel to Atlanta for two days of meetings with the Georgia Baptist Task Force and Cooperative Program Stewardship Team on Monday and Tuesday. In this challenging economic climate, our state convention must re-prioritize and refocus our efforts in a way that assures we are wisely doing missions and ministry. Pray God helps us create workable strategies to reach the nations with the Gospel.

Furthermore, pray for the staff and me this Thursday as Ken Lassiter, Missions Pastor at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Georgia, comes down and spends the day with us. The things happening on the national level in terms of mission efficiency must happen here on the local church level as well. More than anything, I want us to maximize our resources to do the best, most effective job we can of being “on mission” for God in this community. Pray for Ken as he meets with us and makes suggestions for Cross Point missions.

Wednesday Worship

I hope you’ll plan to join us for midweek worship and Bible study here at Cross Point. I can think of no place better for you and your family to spend Wednesday nights. We have supper, activities for children, student worship, and adult Bible study that will bless and strengthen your heart. I really hope to see you this week.

Pastor Loves People

Cross Point, thank you for the honor of serving as your pastor. I dearly love you and thank God for what you add to my life. I’m excited about worshiping the living Lord Jesus with you all today.

I love you,

Pastor Jeremy
