Cross Point Baptist Church was birthed on March 3, 2002. It humbly commenced as a “church plant” of the Rehoboth Baptist Association in Warner Robins, Georgia. Cross Point was launched in what was formerly known as the Tharpe Memorial Baptist Church off of U.S. Highway 41. The congregations of Tharpe Memorial and Bethel Baptist (of Warner Robins) uniquely blended to create a single church seeking unity and purpose.
Reverend Jeremy Morton is the Founding Pastor. Cross Point began with a dream and vision to become a church in the middle Georgia area that only God could create!
In a little over two and a half years, that essentially seems what has taken place. In March of 2002, Cross Point began with an attendance of less than fifty. Now in Winter 2006, the congregation has grown to over 400 with attendance over 500. Multiple weekly services and Sunday School groups are in place to accommodate the growing church family and much more is on the horizon.
Cross Point moved in to our new multi-purpose facility on forty acres of land just west of I-75 Exit 138 in Perry, Georgia on December 4, 2005. Cross Point is laying the foundation for intentional, targeted ministry in Houston County and beyond. The devoted, loving church is genuinely seeking to become the family God has created them to be… all while reaching whom God has called them to reach! Though phenomenal growth has been experienced, the church is quick to signal that it is only by God’s grace, and God’s grace alone!
